Tuesday Ten

And just like that, the wonderful three day weekend is over.  Is it bad to say I’m already looking forward to sleeping in on Memorial Day?  Laziness, ftw!

On that note, here’s another installment of my Tuesday Ten on this Tuesday that feels way too much like the Monday I convinced myself didn’t happen.

1 | “Trends come and go, but Pat McGrath is forever.”  Is it odd that my favorite part of fashion week recaps isn’t the models or the actual fashion, but what the makeup artists, hair stylists, and assistants are up to?  They’re amazing in all they get done in such a short amount of time.

2 | I’m always guilty of never getting a good night’s rest during the week and trying to make up for it on Saturday and Sunday mornings.  I’m learning, quite harshly, that that doesn’t work.  Sarah at Daydreams of Summertime has 5 really simple and easy tips to help aid sleep (that will obviously make for a better morning!).

3 | Making and sticking to a budget is hard work.  LaurenConrad.com has a great article on how to actually stick to your budget once you’ve made the decision to take control of your finances.

4 | There’s not much I wouldn’t do for a house by the beach.  And this one has me excited for the change in seasons and a much needed decor update in my own apartment!

5 | The Simplicity Series at Emily Ley’s blog always has really inspirational women being featured.  I liked last week’s post with Kelly Zugay of With Grace and Gold.

6 | It seems like a million years from now, but I’ve got a trip to Las Vegas in June, and I can’t wait!  I’m already looking for a great swimsuit that I can take with me, and as usual, Victoria’s Secret has a great collection.  (I may also have a problem hoarding VS totes.  And would you look at that?  There’s a free one with a $65 purchase!  So tempting.)

7 | Lady Gaga is engaged? Congrats!

8 | Speaking of beach vacations, the one at the top of my list right now is Tulum.  Jules’ vacation pictures at Sincerely Jules are giving me a really bad case of wanderlust.

9 | Introverts can excel at personal branding?  As someone who tends to play it close to the vest, this was an interesting read.

10 | Festival season is almost upon us!  Even though I’m not going to one this year (as usual. Sad face.), I love looking at the collections. And I’m all about light, airy kimonos.  This one at Tilly’s (I promise I don’t always shop like I’m 16 — apparently it’s only during festival season) is going on my wishlist for Vegas!
